We are a sea kayaking club located in the Tidewater, VA, area, including all of Hampton Roads and surrounding areas. We offer an organization for active kayakers and canoeists to gather in the company of others that share like interests. In addition, through group paddles, forums, and other social gatherings, we collectively provide a fun, safe, ever evolving environment to enjoy this fun and challenging sport in the local area.

The Hampton Roads area is ideally suited to all forms of kayaking, with a large variety of waters in which to paddle. We can challenge the Chesapeake Bay; and there are many rivers, quiet lakes, and shallow waters that are ideal for nature watching, such as paddling with dolphins. Plus, the area has many water-side restaurants to which we can paddle and enjoy a meal with our friends!

We provide a venue where paddlers can join others on day or overnight paddling trips, where we can help one another improve our skills and gain experience, and where we can enjoy kayaking with others from the local area as well as other places throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Anyone can join CASK--skill level is not important. We’ll have paddles and activities that the novice can enjoy while becoming more skilled in handling the boat, as well as some more challenging trips for the more experienced and adventurous. We’ll have some overnight trips to some of the most beautiful scenery available in this area.

Whatever your skill level, you’re welcome to join CASK. Do you have a favorite place to paddle? If you have the desire, we’re always looking for trip leaders, and we’d be happy to have more activities with more people.
